Detailed description of Odana Hills Golf Course
Odana Hills Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located on the west side in Madison, Wisconsin.
Odana Hills golf course opened in 1957.
The course is one of the most popular in the state and hosts several city tournaments each year. The scenic landscape and convenient location off of the Beltline Highway challenges golfers from throughout the Midwest.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,572 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,939 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 514 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 161 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 454 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Odana Hills Golf Course is # 17, a 164 yard par-3.
The large clubhouse offers a lounge, locker rooms, pro shop and great food service. A large putting green and driving range are also available.

A very nice muni. Overall, in good condition. Greens were firm but would hold a good shot. Bunkers soft & clean.

I played Odana Hills in high school. Nice place. Good value for locals.

This is a good fairly competitive course. It's fairways and greens are in well manicured shape. The price about $31 for 18 with a cart for Seniors with a golf plus card was an excellent value. At the Time we teed off it was just starting to get crowded and a bit backed up! They sent out two twosomes after our foursome which kept pushing us, although we couldn't go any faster than the foursome ahead of us! I suggested when we finished that they put the twosomes off the back when several foursomes in a row are ahead of the twosomes! Letting one of the twosomes play through wasn't an option, because the foursomes ahead were already going slow. Things got better at the turn! I like this course very much and have generally always had a good or great experience. This is a city course, and well maintained and well managed except for the scheduling of twosomes right after a couple of foursomes. I would recommend it to good golfers as well as those in the beginners category. Their par fives are long enough to be a challenge as well as the par fours! The par threes are fun and prove to golfers if they hit it straight that you can easily be on in one and birdie or par them. The greens are mowed and maintained to the point that they are above average in their speed. Hole placement is challenging but not impossible. Bring your GPS as some spots off the fairway make the GPS a real asset.
